Ronda Wakefield, SHRM-SCP, SPHR has over 20 years of diverse human resources and management experience that spans a variety of industries including human services, retail, manufacturing, staffing, restaurant and hospitality, restoration services. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, handbook development, full cycle talent acquisition, on-boarding, talent management, training and development, employee engagement, performance management, complex employee relations, and safety. In addition, one of Ronda's great passions is assisting employers design and implement successful veteran hiring and retention programs.
Ronda partners with employers to provide flexible and customized human resources solutions and services that work for both the employee and the employer. She works with small organizations in a variety of industries that don’t have a dedicated HR department, as well as larger organizations that are seeking a collaborative HR business partner for retained services or project based work.
In addition to being a business owner herself, Ms. Wakefield’s employment history includes human resource management roles for a large Montana based manufacturing company specializing in emergency communication platforms, a restaurant franchise, and a service based fire and water damage restoration company. Serving as a Staffing Consultant for a global staffing service and Enterprise Recruiter for one of the largest global financial instituations, Ronda became an expert at the nuances of recruiting for all types of positions all across the state of Montana and beyond.
Outside of the office Ronda is very active in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Having served in multiple roles, including President at the local chapter level, Ronda has held roles on the Montana SHRM State Council, currently the Montana SHRM State Council Director Elect, and in 2016 and 2017 was selected by SHRM National to participate in special expertise panels for HR Disciplines and Talent Acquisition. Ronda regularly does training presentations for JSEC, Chambers of Commerce, SHRM chapters, and corporations. As a past adjunct instructor at FVCC, she taught various HR and leadership courses. Ronda is an ESGR Volunteer, and serves on several non-profit boards.
Graduating Cum Laude from Montana State University Billings, Ronda has a Bachelor’s degree in LS/Human Resources and Organizational Communication and she is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, holding both SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications.
